Lose Weight and Get Healthy by Eating the Food You Were Designed to Eat. Published in 2002 this was the book that really kick-started the paleo diet movement. The Paleo Diet sets out the basic idea of the paleo diet - plenty of meat, eggs and vegetables, some fruit and nuts and no grains, legumes or dairy. This book is far from controversial though and many people belief that Cordain's recommendations with regard to fat are too conservative and possible even wrong. Cordain himself has since indicated that saturated fat is not as evil as he first thought. So what are your thoughts on the book that started it all?
